The purpose of the University of West Africa is to provide an affordable and rigorous higher education to students in a Christian environment that enhances human dignity, academic freedom and creativity, which will help students integrate faith and learning, and facilitate their participation in the global economy. The University shall demonstrate strong commitment to quality educational programs and shall provide dedicated faculty and staff to deliver them. Pedagogically, programs shall employ traditional and innovative means, supported by strong student supportive services. All programs shall be designed to promote the spiritual, intellectual, personal, ethical, and cultural development of students.
Thus, the University shall award undergraduate and graduate degrees in the liberal arts and professional in both undergraduate and graduate programs.
